I somehow wound up in a animal control shelter in Springfield, MO as a homeless stray dog. I was down to my last day on this earth when I was spotted and pulled by Ms. Cindy. She was at the shelter on other business by pure chance. I am so fortunate! Right now I am in the hands of rescue with a nice warm place to sleep and some food, FINALLY!

I have some puncture wounds on my face from some scraps with other animals.

As you can see, I am emaciated but the rescue folks got me to a vet for my shots and examination. They will make sure I get plenty of food and water to get back to a healthy weight. I will be a beautiful dobie girl again very soon. I am looking forward to meeting all of you at adoption events. I have arrived in St. Louis after a pit stop in Rolla to hang out with Zeke the doberman. I also got some dog treats and biscuits/gravy.

Despite being down on my luck I am friendly and affectionate with people. We don't know how I am with kids yet.
