Hi, my name is Mason and I was adopted earlier this year and returned. I didn't do anything wrong a member of the family has allergies. I am about 15 pounds underweight according to the vet.

My previous owner had taken me for training and I know all my commands.

I am completely UTD on vaccinations, heartworm negative and neutered so I am ready to find my forever home.

I am housebroke and crate trained and I like kid's. I like cat's too but I will chase them.

Please fill out an online application if you are interested in me and someone will contact you within 48 hours.

My foster mom says I am a Great Dobie Boy I just need to gain some weight.

NOTE:

A secure fenced in yard is required. A representative of Midwest Doberman Rescue will conduct a home visit for before any adoptions are made. Midwest Doberman Rescue requires year around heartworm protection for animals in your care. Midwest Doberman Rescue will contact your veterinarian periodically to confirm that your dog is receiving heartworm preventative and required health care. Adoptions only made to homes within a 100 mile radius of the St. Louis metropolitan area. Due to Mason's size, no adoptions to homes with children under 8 years of age.

The majority of Dobermans that are turned into this program are from young couples who purchase these Dobermans knowing nothing about the breed and their needs. After about 8-12 months of doing absolutely nothing with the Doberman, a WORKING BREED dog, they have to get rid of them due to behavioral problems. These problems are created because the dog is bored and not mentally or physically stimulated enough. Think long and hard before you adopt or purchase a Doberman. They are the 5th smartest Breed in the world, Smarter than most of the people who apply for them.  Don't adopt or purchase because of the "LOOK", know what you are getting into and make a "COMMITMENT" to your Doberman.
